From the beginning of its Metro activity with rebuilds of lightboxes in Shenzhen, up to the latest high tech applications in the all- new Metro network in Shanghai, Rays has successfully brought 180 watt/per sq.m down to 60 watt/per sq.m in its lightboxes, a drop of 70% in electricity consumption, while saving many millions of dollars a year and rendering better performance. On 7th Nov 2008, at a press conference of the “Best Models of Energy Saving”, hosted by the Information Center for Energy Saving of the State Commission of Development and Reform, Rays’ lightbox won a commendation and was promoted as the No.109 best energy saving model.
