Nine measures to spur energy saving efforts in 2010
Xinhua Net, Beijing, 10th March 2010: Xie Zhenhua told the reporter that in 2010, the State will take nine major measures to reduce the carbon emission, they include: strengthen the examination of targeted responsibility; bring “two high projects” under control; beef up financial support; push forward energy saving and emission reduction in industry, construction, transportation, public institutions, logistics and service, rural areas and farming; accelerate the promotion of new technology and products; improve related policies and boost business’ motivation in energy saving and emission reduction; promote development of a recycling economy; fortify relative regulations and enforcement of laws; intensify the efforts in education and unfold a nationwide campaign in energy saving and emission reduction.
