
Rays honored hi-tech company in Shanghai

After a three-month rigid assessment conducted jointly by Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, Shanghai Financial Administration, Shanghai State Taxation Administration and Shanghai Local Taxation Administration, Rays Lighting System has been honored as a high-tech company in Dec 2009, in reward for the company’s excellent R&D capability and its lighting system’s outstanding contribution to energy saving and reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
The assessment of hi-tech enterprises is a government policy to encourage the development of enterprises with independent intellectual property rights. The participating company shall be assessed by government-approved experts in accordance with four assessment criteria: core independent intellectual property rights, capacity to transform technology into products, R&D management and growth index in operations. Passing the assessment of “hi-tech enterprise” can be deemed as recognition by the State and Shanghai Municipality of RAYS’ efforts in ongoing R&D and application of technology to new product development in the field of energy-saving lightboxes.
