  • How does Rays patented technology differ from other technologies in the lighting industry?

    Rays posseses a number of patented reflective light technologies. By using advanced and energy-saving light sources, and precisely calculating the projection angles of light in a framed space, it applies a special reflection board to transfer the "wasted light" to dark zones, allowing the light to be spread evenly into every corner, and achieving brightness and an effect of softness. The merits of Rays' technology include a high rate of light transformation, low temperature, good color reduction, easy-ownership, and power saving.

  • What is the difference of the materials used by Rays' reflection board?

    The polyester covered sheet-metal can be made into any shape, supported by precise optical calculations, without rifts and flaws at bending sections. A good surface flatness can help maximize energy saving effort. High weather tolerance ensures a durable operation in various circumstances.

  • What sort of technology has enabled Rays to array the light tubes in a greater space?

    By using special materials which deliver 90% reflection of light, Rays has conducted more than 20,000 experiments and tests and developed its unique reflective light board with special reflective angles for fluorescent tubes. Based on geometrical and optical theory, the light reflector can produce multiple diffusion and refraction through various angles, height and width, and direct the wasted light to the dark zones to form  "visual lighting". The array of light tubes can be spaced further apart, fully utilizing the light source.

  • What is the life-span of Rays systems?

    Rays provides a five-year warranty for quality. Its theoretical life-span is ten years.

  • How can you prove the life-span of Rays systems?

    HK International Airport is Rays' first customer. Its systems there have been operating successfully for more than five years since 2006.

  • Can Rays systems be applied to arc or specially shaped lightboxes?

    In general, Rays' systems are pre-shaped, but it can design and develop specific reflective light system for special lightboxes to customer request.

  • Can Rays' system be used with the other illuminants?

    With its strong R&D team rich in expertise, Rays can carry out experiments for different light sources in order to develop a special system. However, in view of the availability of new light source and its price, Rays suggests you use straight flourescent T8 and T5 tubes, or well-sealed LED light sources.

  • How do you clean Rays' systems?

    Thanks to its good surface flatness, there is no need to clean Rays' reflective light board with any special chemical detergent, simply wipe it with a dry cloth. Under special circumstances, for example, near rails which produce more dust, you can clean it with a damp cotton cloth and non abrasive detergent.

  • Can Rays' systems be installed in the original lightbox (including those high altitude lightboxes)?

    Rays can redesign the lighting configurations within the original lightbox. Its new reflective light system can be installed as long as it doesn't conflict with the other configurations.

  • How do you identify the energy-saving ratio of Rays' systems?

    Under the same lighting circumstances, i.e. the same brightness, evenness and color temperature of the lightbox, it is easy to measure the energy-saving ratio of Rays' lightbox, in comparison with conventional lightboxes.

  • How do you identify the safety performance of Rays?

    Rays' systems have passed the test of the State Anti-fire Materials Quality Supervision Centre, and obtained an appraisal report of the Centre. The systems as a whole comply with all requirements of anti-fire and the additional criteria of s1, d0 and t0. All these have guaranteed the safety performance in systems' operation.

  • How about Rays' products category and price?

    Rays' products are priced into two major categories. One is for fluorescent light source, and the other is for LED light source. The products series cover metro, large 宝丽布 cloth, outdoor sign, slim lightboxes for shop, etc.. Considering the different display effect and energy saving ratio, the price may vary according to different system specification.

  • What payment methods can be used?

    Rays offers its quotation based on per sq.m. Usually the payment shall be made when delivery of products is fulfilled. Or alternatively, the payment method and delivery time can be claculated based on the agreed power-saving ratio with the customer.
