The Bank of Communications, as a commercial bank and global partner of 2010 Shanghai Expo, integrates environmental considerations into its development strategy and all parts of business planning, in an effort to become an energy-saving and environmentally friendly “green bank”. To fulfill this mission, the Bank of Communications has chosen Rays as its partner to develop its office network inside the Expo park based on a low-carbon footprint and environmental conservation.
The lightbox used by its local office in the Expo park is 23 sq.m in surface area. By the use of RAYS’ light reflective system, it will bring the power consumption per sq.m, compared to the conventional lightbox, from 180w down to 60w, yearly power consumption of 7,555 kwh down to 2,518 kwh, and carbon-dioxide emission of 7.5 tonnes down to 2.5 tonnes. This has been the utmost demonstration that the wide use of RAYS system can undoubtedly be a significant “green” treasure for the country, as it purses sustainable and low carbon economic development.
